  HELLO! And welcome to Downtown Clowns 2015!
     Let me be the first to congratulate you on choosing Downtown Clowns as your spring phase project. This project is unlike any project in which you may have participated. This project affords you the unique opportunity to, in a manner of speaking, run away and join the circus! Something many people dream about, but rarely have the guts or the chance to do. 
     In this course you will learn the history of clowning, design and construct your own clown costume, create you own clown character, apply clown make up, and pick your own nose! Together with your classmates you will design a clown stage show complete with a musical soundtrack and present it on stage for the school. 
    As an added bonus, you will also learn the art of balloon twisting! That's right. You will learn how to make dozens of impressive balloon creations guaranteed to impress your friends and families. 
     Lest you think this project is all fun and games - fun and games are, in fact, a requirement - it is much more than just that. This project demands a commitment to your fellow classmates, responsibility, focus, and hard work. The end result is something you will remember the rest of your lives. Good luck. The the fun begin!
